Dues and contributions may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses for Federal Income Tax purposes. However, check with your tax accountant to review your specific situation. Dues and contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions. The tax deductibility of dues paid to GSREIA as ordinary business expenses is subject to restrictions imposed as a result of lobbying activities. The portion devoted to lobbying is no longer deductible as a business expense. GSREIA estimates that the non-deductible portion of your dues to be 33%.

The GSREIA membership year runs exactly one year from your sign-up.

No, but a member in one organization is eligible for a discount in the other, even though each state chapter of SEIA is operated independently from the national SEIA.
